Nostalgia Classic Cars is proud to offer you a Plymouth Barracuda 1965 with automatic transmission and only 5,530 miles. Completely original and in excellent condition.
There's nothing else on the road that looks like an early Barracuda. Derived from the popular Valiant, the Barracuda was an awesome first entry in the burgeoning muscle car wars.
Plymouth recognized that not all performance is measured in straight-line acceleration, so they introduced the Barracuda’s optional Formula “S” sports package. It included the 273 cubic inch (4.5L) Commando V8 with 235 hp; a tachometer; heavy-duty shocks, springs and sway bar; wide-rim 14-inch wheels. Circular “Formula S” medallions on the fender identified the package, and many were ordered with the racing stripe that was a regular Barracuda option. The Barracuda Formula S made a name for itself with its ability to corner better than most American and European cars; it provided a nice balance of acceleration and handling, with a European feel.
