Details about this Classic Car Triumph Herald 1965

The Triumph TR4 is an English made sports car, that was built, and introduced by the Standard Triumph Motor Company in 1961. With 40,253 being made from 1961, to 1965, the car was nicknamed “Zest” during its development phase. The previous models of the TR saw great success, and was among the leaders of the sports car market. Although with a global change in taste, and trend, Triumph wanted to upgrade the model to suit current trends, and the TR4 succeeded in doing so, and was seen as ahead of its time. To do so, Italian automobile designer Michelotti was given the task of remodeling the car into a slightly more modern look, that would fit the chassis of the previous model, the TR3.

The first TR4 ever produced rolled out of the factory on July 18th, 1961. The year 1965 marked the end of production for the TR4, with only 250 cars being built in that year, before Triumph moved on to start produced the TR4A. With only 250 models being constructed in 1965, this is truly a rare find, and an incredible edition to the collector. The specific model that we are pleased to exhibit is a convertible with a black soft top roof. The TR4 we are offering has 54, 060 km on it, is cream white, with a black coat on the bottom half, making it look even more elegant than it already is, while maintaining its sports car roots.
