Nostalgia Classic Cars is pleased to offer this elegant, beautifully kept 1961 Mercedes-Benz 220SE. The designing of the car started in 1957, and resulted in numerous varied options that Mercedes would have to choose from. We can really see why they went with this model, designed by Paul Bracq, world renowned automobile designer, noted for his work not only at Mercedes-Benz, but also with BMW, Citroen, and Peugeot.
The exterior of the car is absolutely breathtaking, the white colored paint only makes the car more elegant, with a matching maroon color on the rims, and a stunning wood grain interior. The car had its first premier in Stuttgart, Germany, at the Mercedes-Benz Museum, during their 75th anniversary.
With 44, 636km on it, and in such great condition, this is a lucky find. Only 14,173 220SE coupe’s were produced from February 1961, until October 1965, making this car a rare piece of quality German engineering from 1961. The Mercedes-Benz name is known to last, and whether it be for a collection, or an occasional joyride, this is a beautiful car that one cannot go wrong with.
