Nostalgia Classic Cars is proud to present you one British soft top jewel and a true Bond car, the 1962 Sunbeam Alpine Series II roadster! The Series II roadster was produced from 1960 to 1962, and was powered by a 1.6L inline four engine with 80 horsepower, enough for top speeds of up to 158 km/h. The engine was enlarged from 1.5L that was featured in the Series I roadster, and was packed inside a lovely designed body with a classic sixties look. The Sunbeam Alpine Series II was made in 19,956examples, making it a pretty rare collectible car. One more thing that adds to its desirability is the fact that the Alpine was used in numerous movies, and was driven by many stars of the era, including Elizabeth Taylor. Most importantly, a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine Series II was featured in the first 007 movie Dr. No, and it’s the first car James Bond ever drove on screen.
A beautiful ivory white 1962 Sunbeam Alpine from our showroom has covered just 15,900 kilometers, which is a truly magnificent number considering the age. It is in astounding condition both outside and inside, and it features cream leather interior which perfectly complements the exterior of the car. With the odometer showing such low mileage, the engine runs smooth, and this charming British roadster is there for you to feel just like Sean Connery while cruising with the top down.
