Nostalgia Classic Cars is thrilled to present you a true heart stopper, and a coupe of superior class, a 1961 Mercedes-Benz 220S. This German masterwork is painted in elegant white with complementary hubcaps, while its interior features lush woodwork and comfortable dark red leather seats. Its 2.2L 120 HP engine has covered just 44,636 kilometers, providing that this gentleman’s coupe is in excellent mechanical condition. This Mercedes-Benz is an amazing piece of design and engineering, and one of the most sublime automobiles the factory has ever created, so it fills us with pride that we have such a well preserved example in our showroom.

Mercedes-Benz W111 coupe was built from 1961 to 1971 in 27.000 examples.  It was one of the most memorable cars designed by Paul Bracq, a French designer who was also responsible for the W113 Pagoda roadster and the magnificent W100 Mercedes-Benz 600. The base for this car was W111 limousine, known as the Heckflosse, Tailfin in German. However, for the coupe and the convertible, the tailfins were toned down, and the interior was upgraded with a different instrument cluster more reminiscent of that from the W113 Pagoda.

Today, the W111 coupe is loved for its dignified looks, unparalleled comfort, decent performance and  unmatched reliability. If you are searching for a refined luxurious coupe, look no further, because this Mercedes-Benz is the car that will suit all your needs.
